Project requirements
Travelers moving through airports, stations and hotels manage documents and personal items while pulling luggage. Crowded routes introduce obstruction, trip and separation risks, while unattended luggage requires suitable parking and handling arrangements.
Solution
The described concept integrates UWB positioning, control, drive and obstacle sensors into the luggage base. A carried tag supplies relative range/direction for configurable 360Β° following at 1β15m separation. The concept includes stopping at steps or abnormal conditions and optional remote-control operation.
EfficiencyThe case text reports approximately 25% less movement time in terminals and 30% less time handling baggage collection/check-in.
User ExperienceReported physical effort decreased by approximately 70%, with following stability above 95% during the described evaluation of crowded areas.
SafetyThe case text reports approximately 90% lower luggage-loss risk and obstacle response below 0.3 seconds, with parking when the traveler moves away. These reported figures require application-specific verification.
